Dr. Steele Gray is a health services researcher that focuses on the role of health information technology in supporting person-centred care delivery for individuals with complex care needs. Her research explores how technology can be leveraged to enable implementation and sustainability of innovative models of care as a means to support health system transformation.
Dr. Steele Gray founded and leads the multinational eHealth Research Partnership for patients with Complex Chronic Disease and Disability. This network includes an international group of researchers and policy markers. Dr. Upshur is the Head, Division of Clinical Public Health at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health and the Assistant Director of the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute, Sinai Health System. He is a member of The Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada and the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
Dr. Upshur's current research involves implementing models of primary health care for older adults with complex care needs, as well as examining community-based approaches to promote optimal aging for older adults with multiple chronic conditions and their caregivers. Dr. Upshur has over 350 publications including more than 200 peer reviewed publications, and was awarded Family Medicine Researcher of the Year Award from the College of Family Physicians of Canada in 2015. Dr. Wodchis is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto, Adjunct Scientist at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences and Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. His main research interests are health economics and financing, and health care policy evaluation. He is the Principal Investigator for the Health System Performance Research Network - engaging in research focused on evaluating care for complex populations across multiple health care sectors.
Dr. Wodchis is also co-Principal Investigator for a CIHR & New Zealand team grant focused on understanding implementation and spread of community based integrated care innovations. Ted E. Palen

Dr. Ted Palen is a practicing primary care internist with the Colorado Permanente Medical Group and a Physician Investigator in the Institute for Health Research (IHR) of Kaiser Permanente Colorado (KPCO) with a focus on informatics research.
Dr. Palen received his PhD in chemistry at the University of Colorado, Boulder under the direction of Nobel Laureate Dr. Thomas R. Cech. He completed medical school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Palen did his internship in the internal medicine program at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver Colorado. He then completed a combined internal/preventive medicine residency program at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He has been with the Colorado Permanente Medical Group since 1997. He currently chairs the Integrating New Technology with Benefits and Operations committee and is a member of the Emerging Technology Advisory Group. As a member of the Resources Stewardship department he participates in utilization reviews for the KPCO Resource Stewardship department, and serves as the Physician Manager for Clinical Reporting, using data analytics for evaluating the care delivery processes. His research is focused on the use of clinical informatics for analyzing care delivery models and the use of virtual care and remote care to improve care delivery processes, clinical outcomes, and quality of care.
